So we have all read and posted relpies on why i couldnt put any fuel in my T/A... Well thanks to the help of Socalmach, we (he) took apart some of my car and realized the problem... Someone had put sugar in my gas tank. Here are a couple pix of my day :-D
Here we are at the Local WaWa. i made a purchase of 1.7 gallons of 92 octane unleaded fuel. Don made a wise decision on the purchace of a 32oz fountain soda and a gatorade.. i believe it was orange.

Here is my delightful 99 trans am jacked up in the rear. I made a joke on being the local beaner with my car 3 wheeled in the driveway.

Hey look! I believe thats sugar on this hanger. We both tasted it and with a hint of gasoline... it wasnt so bad. I stirred my coffee with it later on.

thats not good
Well, at least it doesn't dissolve in gasoline like it does in water. The alcohol in today's gas doesn't help but it usually does remain crystaline and does not get past the filters into the injectors or engine. Its about the same as putting sand in the tank (just as bad). I can't imagine anyone associated with cars in general would do this since we all respect the machines way more than the people that sometimes drive them.
Anyway, glad the problem was identified. Good luck with your insurance company too!!!

yeah, i talked to Cooter, and he told me to call Art Walker.. they are supposed to get it on monday and clean everything out... read end is going to have to dropped out... So i bet getting insurance claim would be cheaper than paying for this all out of pocket!
Have you considered pulling the filter and flushing the tank without actually dropping it? That would be at least a start...

Sorry I couldn't getter better results for ya. Good story though.
I won't take total credit though. I did think it was sugar but Cooter and his boss helped to confirm it for me.

Cooter refered me to Art Walker Auto, but they cant get it until Monday. I need to find a car to drive until then.
p.s. I swallowed the hanger... the gasoline/sugar mixture was delightful

haha, well my first car was a monster... I had a 1986 Olds Cutlass Ciera. When we talk about power... it had maybe 10 hp and 75 lbs/tq... But again, it didnt have that sugar buzz that the T/A has now does it???
I'm going to rent a Pontiac G6 from Avis... i will post pix... i hope i get one without a girly color.

I went out to Art Walker today, they had my car buried in the back of the lot. It made me a little pissed off. But i talked to them. They said they are going to do an estimate on it tomorrow and snd the info to my insurance company. They said it should be done tomorrow... but we'll see.
But.. as soon as i get it back (i need to come up with $500 for the deductable) i hope i can go out to jenros or something satuday.

They called today, they had the gas tank out. They said it had a bunch of sugar in it, and they are going to replace my fuel filter, but it didnt even get that far... Its costing me 435 dollars.
I also had court yesterday for my 113/55 on 564... recieved $597 ticket, 2 weekend days picking up trash, and 30 days suspended licence...

well at least its not like they took it for 6 months or something. one month really isnt too bad.
If i got a ticket going that fast i think i would loose mine for a year since im still a minor for a few months.

Losing the license is one of the worst thing they could do to a gear head.
Good luck with the withdrawals.

You don't have very good luck.
On another note, you should be able to drive to and from work. Look into it.
