Just got this in a email, its getting serious!!
As of 11 AM the National Weather Service Warning Forecast Office in
Wakefield, VA is calling for accumulations of 12 inches of snow for both
Fort Eustis and Fort Monroe, Fort Lee is in the 6-10 inch range, and Fort
A.P. Hill in the 3-4 inch range. Snow should begin to fall late tonight or
early tomorrow morning with the heaviest snowfall taking place tomorrow.
Snow will begin to taper off Saturday evening through early Sunday morning.

Summary: Governor Bob McDonnell declared a State of Emergency for the
Commonwealth of Virginia on 28 January 2010 authorizing state agencies to
assist local governments responding to the potential winter storm that is
forecast to impact the Commonwealth Friday and Saturday, 29 and 30 January,
with significant snowfall accumulations ranging from 4 to 15 inches. The
heaviest amounts, 12 to 15 inches, are expected in Southern VA along and
north of VA/NC border to a line east along and south of Rt. 460 to south of
Richmond Metro area to Northampton County.
Several winter storm warnings, winter storm watches and winter weather
advisories have been issued beginning at 1300 Friday 29 January continuing
through 0100 Sunday 31 January for accumulating snowfall. Current snowfall
estimates:
- Far Southwest VA - 10 to 15 inches with heaviest amounts in
higher elevations
- VA/NC border north to a line east along and south of Rt. 460 to
south of Richmond Metro area to Northampton County - 12 to 15 inches
with heaviest amounts along VA/NC border
- North of Richmond Metro area to line from Harrisonburg to
Fredericksburg - 4 to 8 inches
- North of Harrisonburg to Fredericksburg Line - in excess of 4
inches
