Since there's no road racing section, I thought I'd post here. I spent last weekend at VIR working on several cars that were running for the Ultimate Track Car Challage trouphy, on Sat I drove my car on track, here's some pics from my runs. It's a blast!

So, why did the camera guy think the Jetta was a more important ride to be taking pics of?

Must have been a buddy of his, but yeah, seems way more pics of the Jetta. I passed him after the second lap, as you can see I was all over his tailpipe. Not sure what kinda turbo he had, but he pulled me on the back straight by a couple of cars. That and the Mercedes, but that's a 500hp+ AMG. Since we were only allowed to pass on three parts of the track and then only with a pointby, I didn't get to run any clean laps. Every lap I passed at least two cars out of three chances per lap, I would pass a car only to be held up at the next corner by someone else. But $50 for 25 minutes of all out track time can't be beat! I hit 145 on the back straight!

It was more like a 40 to 145mph roll! he didn't start pulling till half way through when his turbo spooled up... If you look close as some of those pics you will see the Jetta is Gutted with a full cage.
