All you need is some threaded rod or longer bolts that'll help you guide the cam in and out. Never had a tool.

With the motor still in the car? Don't think so... If the old cam doesn't come out blue then that's the best we got... Anybody got any porting tips for 243 heads? Can I port match the exhaust gaskets and intake ports? how much material can I take out?

Yeah, have a shop do it.

What cam has been decided on?

Depending on the budget send them to AI and you will pick up 50+rwhp with stock valves for $1000.

Put the cam in the car last night along with the new double roller timing chain and ported LS6 oil pump. Started working on porting the 243 heads. Any body know a good shop than do the valve job on them after all the porting is done?

The Head shop is good. They're on London bridge rd, so it's close. Tell them Craig from Autosmart sent you and that they would hook you up @ a good price.

Double Roller seems a little over kill, did you get a new front cover too? The stocker won't fit with a double.

no new cover, but it looks like it'll fit. Will find out when he slaps it back together.
and Bob, I know the head shop guys, helped me with the boat motor. Looking for something on the pennesula perhaps?

I got nothing. I allways use double roller chains.
