Headed out to Virginia Motorsports Speedway on saturday. I've only been to the strip once so it should be interesting. The guy that showed me this said that the last time he went he was able to run as many times as he wanted.

Translation, a lot of runs for your money.

its a pretty nice 1/4 mile track... the prep this year has been hit or miss all year for T&T's though... I'd wait until a trip to MIR, its not that much further... and that track hooks on street tires normally....

VMP has just seriously dissapointed me lately. and the part about a lot of runs on T&T days... not true any time I've been. I have gotten at the most 4 runs.... and thats ALL day being there, waiting on 'Tech, staging lanes. prep time etc etc... I was waiting in the staging lanes for over an hour once. I dont care for how they run T&T.

not to mention, I'll be at a wedding in PA Sep 1st...

there is a track day being planned for vmp. it will be on a friday at the end of sept or first of oct. when the temps and air is much better. this is a closed to the public track rental. usually cost about 80 bucks to run and free for spectators, crew. runs from 9am till 5pm. run as many times as you want! tech is normally slack and track prep is usually pretty good.if anyones interested you can keep an eye on the progress at tidewatermusclecars.com or twr.

I'll be there on Saturday. This is about the 7th or 8th time I've ran at VMP this year. The track prep is better than years past. But, like most tracks the traction goes away with temps in the mid 90s and lots of sun. Saturday's forecast is clear with low humidity and temps in the mid eighties. Should be a good day.

If anyone else goes stop by my trailer. Look for the blue Chevy Dooley, white trailer and the red Monte Carlo.

If you're look for a track that hooks try Outerbanks Speedway down in NC.

Heard it from a guy at work that rides. If you saw pics of jeans then maybe he was wrong.

What time do you get off?
