Va Fall Classic is this coming weekend in Newport News.

I showed last year but I'm not this year. Myself and a couple of friends were going to cruise up and check it out, hit Pierce's BBQ for a late lunch, and then cruise over and catch the ferry over to Surry, then come back down through surry and suffolk. I've done it before and its a nice little cruise. If anyone want to tag along let me know. Probably leave Va Beach/Chesapeake around 10:30-11

The group that puts on the show has there cruise on Sunday. They start at the park, normally cruise the colonial parkway to jamestown and then go get something to eat. I have done it the past 2 years and its a nice cruise(probably 25-30 cars) but I want to check out the show and not tie up two days. So I figured Saturday we would just do our own little cruise. Nothing crazy just a nice drive and if anyone want to follow or catch up at anytime thats cool.

Here is the plan I had. Sat morning I have a football game to attend. Won't be done til 10-10:30. Gonna meet up and try to roll out by 11. Ride up to Newport News, Check out the show for an hour or two, and then cruise. I was planning on leaving the show and catching the colonial parkway. Take it up to Pierce's BBQ for a late lunch. Maybe stop and take some pics along the way. Then leave Pierce's and get back on the colonial parkway to Jamestown. Catch the ferry over to surry, and then come back down through smithfield, isle of wright, suffolk, etc. Figured anyone could tag along or head another way whenever they wanted to. oh crap, i thought it was on sunday. well roninsonic maybe next time. i went back to NC to visit for a day. so it'd be a waste to sleep here and head back to VA so soon.
