I havent replaced brake pads(due to not needing to) in about two years and ive never worked with ABS,
right now my back left rotor is getting a bit cut-up from my brake so im goin to
try and replace them myself because i dont think i have the money to take it to a shop.
Has anybody up here changed their pads recently? Whats a good brand/price
and what tools will i need? ive got a few but when i was in school we had a huge amount.
Or if someone is close and would like to help me that would be cool, i gotta go get the pads first though.

Is this your daily or a track car?
And you can do a brake job with basic hand tools if you need a hand let me know.

my daily driver, i just wasnt sure if there was a certain cheapo brand to stay away from or not.
an i supposed to do anything different with ABS before i try and remove the calipers, like relieve the pressure or something?

ABS doesn't really change anything. The only difference is that I open the bleeder on the caliper when you collapse the cylinder so you don't force the ABS module vales open. On my daily I run quiet stop ceramic pads and have been happy with them, and they don't turn my rims black.

ok...how do i open the bleeder/what does it look like?
im about to go outside and try and take the wheel and calipers off then ill have to find a place to turn my rotor later.
(dumb i know, but as it turns out i was told that shops dont really do it anymore)

the bleeder is a small nut on the caliper that releases brake fluid and is use to bleed air from the system

I don't open the bleeded valve. Never had issue an I don't have to bleed afterwards. Did my truck 05 Avalanche not long ago. Only think I needed I didn't have was a t45 torx. Have not done the Camaro so not real sure about extras
