Free car show open to all domestic muscle cars and trucks.
Chevy’s will provide free cover charge for all participants before 7pm.

There won't be any judging per se at this first get together. Its really more a cruise in that car show. Likely we will have an actual show once a month or once a quarter after things start to pic up.

Make sure you show before 7pm if you want to get into Chevy's without the cover. There is no cover at the Crazy Wing and they do have great wings there as well as cold beverages for washing them down.

I went to Crazy wing on Sunday afternoon to scope out the crowd. There's already a few car guys there and looks like next Sunday is going to be a good crowd for us. There are already flyers posted all over the Crazy Wing Cantina so we should have some new faces.

There's another laundry list of tasks for the week however. We still need a small (1/4 page) flyer with the web site info, etc. to pass out. Any other details?

As long as it's not on a day that I have other plans (i.e., another show that I'm already committed to, family engagements, etc.), or something comes up to keep me from going, I'll be there.

Are there any dates under consideration now?

When you do get the date, let me know so I can put it on the HRME Calendar of Events.

I think we have a good spot and though it was never meant to be an official show. We were planning to meet at the Crazy Wing in Chespeake on Sunday afternoons kinda like the meetings that happen at Genro's and Bass Pro. No trophy or anything to start. Basically kinda like a "Meet and Eat" for a few beers and maybe to watch the race and have a few beers. Its 50 Cent bottle beers on Sundays from 7 to 9PM if anyone is interested.

We can do something in May or even may it a regular thing on Sunday afternoons. The problem was that last year we were struggling to get enough people out to make it worth while. If we can get 20 cars or so to show I think we can make it a regular Sunday afternoon event.

We were actually hoping to select a location that might become a sponsor for the site, the owner is into cars also. This was the reason for selecting Crazy Wing Cantina in Chesapeake. Its also a central location and there's a large empty parking lot there since the grocery store in the strip mall next to it closed. Chevy's and Crazy Wing are owned by the same people. Also Chevy's goes along with the car theme.

The location isn't as important as getting a good turnout. If there's other locations that might be better that's something else to consider.

Actually these meets were intended to be open to anyone who wants to hang out. No official prizes awarded at least at first, as the crowd grows we'll eventually do a Viewers Choice type award. Even ricers are welcome since its a good time for smack talking....

I also Know that we have several members that run other clubs. I you would like to make this a combo meet with other clubs we can setup places for banners ect. Just let us know.

We (the Admin's) have been tossing the idea of the meet and eat around at the last few meeting. I am glad to see intrest in everyone coming out and having a good time.

We had trouble with turn out last time but we were a new site with very few members back then.
