My "Simply Red"

Was a tad bit slow in starting the modifications.

First mod was while it was still on the Dealers showroom floor which was the CAI and front grille.

2 weeks later added the JBA catback which lasted a whole 3 weeks before it was given away. Way too loud and the drone drove me NUTS. Went out the next day priorty shipped in a Corsa Catback exhaust.

Got brave and started big time engine modifcations with cam and longtube headers and freeflow cats, forged short block and P&P heads and intake.

Now the hardest modifications are geared towards getting the "Driver" tune to the vehicle.

Corsa sound so nice and smooth quiet until WOT then everybody knows who you are.

I should make a sound clip as it is going into DTP tommorrow morning to replace the 2800 Torque convertor. If it checks out... They will also place in a custom stroker cam. This new forged engine is a suppose to be a stroker killer...( word is suppose) Hopefully I Get to test it at the VMP against the Fords on the 4th of April. Then the next day after all that practice ...I may be ready for ( some ) of you all....

Oh yea...my goal was to be around 500RWHP all motor hopefully I will find out by tomorrow where I stand. (chasing that GT500)

Well yesterday I met Bruce Maichle who is the 2007 NMCA PRO STOCK National Champion and owner of HHP racing. He was the one who kind of talked me into getting this 6.1L forged engine. He came down to personally see the issues I been having with this new motor. Well we kind of made an inch of progress as he installed the new torque convertor and we did a custom tune to get it to 415RWHP. Unfortunatly there is still that problem of about 60-90HP which cannot be accounted for. For about 16 hours just about everything was looked at and tested short of completely tearing the engine apart.

All I can do is wait and hopefully between him and the builder Tony Bischoff something will be figured out so I can get the power I want.

I guess I became a unknowing Guinea pig when I jumped out and became one of the first ones with this prototype engine.

Okay we are now on engine #3 on a car less then a year old....

I now have the 7.0L Hemi 426 Stroker installed and running.

We are doing the old fashion break her in gently phase. Not getting her above the 4k RPM range and keep her under 85mph for the first 500 miles. I will then have her dynoed and custom tuned on Wednesday, May 21st.

Taking the lessons learned I have not added the 90MM throttle body to this intial phase but will added it after I run her a bit. The problem is that it will again require a custom tune. Each custom tune sure takes a nice chunk of change out of your pockets and I am running out of change quickly here.

I just want to be able to stay ahead of all those "SPRAYERS" don't want any of those Juice stains on my windshield LOL

At what time on Wednesday are you getting it dynoed?? I would love to see that beauty go. I'm scheduled for the 23rd at 10:30AM. :stripes:

Last bog filled run of the nite - 12.9@115 mph.



Need lessons on launch technique...BAD.

sweet numbers man, and more seat time at the track will fix the launch issue. have no worries it's a trail and error deal. just need to find what your car needs/wants ( the sweet spot lol! )

Well today added YET another MOD. As she was in need of additional air so a 90mmTB was installed matched to a ported and polished intake.....
The results were impressive to say the least...
I picked up 40 RWHP and 24 TQ.

So I am now pushing 516 RWHP and 520 TQ

Not bad for a Luxury 4 door. Now to get all that to the ground and use it....
