DYNO DAY #2 @ DTP - Sat., May 24th

We will have our second Dyno Day at DTP on Saturday, May 24th.

Yes, I do realize that that is Memorial Day weekend, but that is about the only time we can have it before it gets into the hot part of the summer...and the guys at DTP are available. :)

We want to get as many V6ers out who would like to dyno after installing the Predator tunes and/or would like to custom tune their V6s.

If you would like to come out and tune or dyno, let me know. If we get a large turnout like we did last time, we may have to go to a 2 day event again. We shall see...

Also, for food, we are trying to decide if we want to have a cookout again, or if we would rather all chip in $5 - $10 and have the event "catered." Any thoughts?

Finally, we will plan on starting at 8:00 a.m. and the cost will be $60 for 3 pulls and $150 per hour for tuning. Normally, the LXs take 1 to 1 1/2 hours to tune. Payment for both is by cash only.

Can they handle a 3800SII (3.8 V6 in f-bodies)? My car's been on a dyno once before, and for whatever reason, they could not get a RWHP reading past 3000 RPM, and no torque reading at all.

Bring it out and we'll see what they can do. We only had one car at the last dyno day that they couldn't put on the dyno. It was lowered too far and they were afraid that the body kit would hit the floor when they drove it on.

oh, it got on the dyno...ran all the way up to the rev limiter, but, on the graph, the HP line dissappeared at the 3000 RPM mark and there was no torque line on the print out.

I can't say that there won't be any issues...'cause you never know what's gonna happen...but bring 'er out, put 'er on the dyno, and see what happens.

Can anyone (either dyno or tuning) come in on Friday? I'll be in Friday afternoon (between 12:30 and 1:00) to have my car tuned. Anyone want to join me?

The guys at DTP are coming in on their holiday weekend for us, and we have booked them solid for Saturday...possibly even overbooked 'em. They are going to be open on Friday and have offered to make it a Friday/Saturday event...since they can't make it a Saturday/Sunday event. I just don't want to have to tell someone "Sorry, you can't dyno/tune."

Heys, Guys..next friday is the big day for me. I'll let you know how it goes. Last time I ran, I did 310RWHP & 350RWT baseline and stock (Have video for proof + alot of witnesses (right chargersxt & ujokin2). Then after the Predator (canned tune), I did 315.2RWHP and 352RWT. Hope to improve those numbers a little bit by getting the custom tune. I really don't expect a lot of improvement. I haven't done much to the car, I've just gotten smarter. :)

If I remember correctly, weren't you running 87 octane and they were trying to tune on either 89 or 93 octane and they pretty much maxed out at 315/352? If so, next weekend, make sure that your tank is full of whatever octane you're going to tune on.

The canned tune sucks atleast it does for the Mustangs. My guess is you'll probably see another 10-15 or so to the wheels.

Get your car custom tuned. It will run much better and give you the most bang per mod that can be safley obtained.
